Bristol Aero Club aims to promote interest in flying as a social activity, building on the close association and historic interest in all aspects of aviation at Filton. To achieve this, the Club provides training and recreational hire of aircraft at attractive Charges on a non-profit making basis, and organises social activities connected with aviation.

The Club owns two Piper Aircraft, G-BBXW and G-BASJ. Both aircraft are low wing, 4 seat, single engined light aircraft suitable for training and private hire to members. Each aircraft is equipped with dual controls and maintained under CAA regulations for training.

Excellent professional Training is provided from qualified instructors on a part time basis. This includes Trial Lessons, PPL training and more advanced training such as IMC and the Night ratings. Students can complete all PPL exams and flight tests with the Club.
