Bristol Aero Club is a non-profit flying club aiming to share the joy of private flying at affordable cost. The club is run by volunteers supported by a highly experienced team of qualified instructors and maintenance engineers. We are regulated by the UK Civil Aviation Authority and provide training courses and instruction to high standards.

Our three aircraft are based at Kemble, near Cirencester, open seven days a week and easily accessible from Bristol, Swindon, Gloucestershire or Oxford. We operate an online booking system, so you can book aircraft and instruction directly.

The club is open to everyone to join and we’ll do our best to make you feel welcome. For those considering learning to fly, we offer trial lessons where you’ll take the controls under the watchful eye of an instructor. Flight time counts towards any training course taken.  For those already with PPL licences, join our regular flyouts and share flights with other club members, or consider advancing your skills with a IR(R) rating. And if you’ve let your licence lapse, we’ll get you back in the seat and flying solo in no time.

Our aircraft are equipped for use by disabled pilots using a hand control for the rudder, and our instructors familiar with training for its use. The club has been closely involved with Flying Scholarships for the Disabled for many years.
